Beginners guide to start your photography journey
Reder began as a personal pivot. My name is Ashour Abdelrahman, a Jordanian theater and TV actor back home. After moving to Finland over a decade ago, continuing that path wasn’t realistic. Instead of giving up on storytelling, I shifted behind the camera. I learned by doing — working with experienced Finnish production teams and gradually building my skills. In 2021, I started Reder to bring a more personal, thoughtful approach to video production. Since then, I’ve produced videos for clients in different fields.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Reder Video Production is a full-service video company producing event aftermovies, brand films, testimonials, real estate videos, and social media content. Our portfolio includes productions for Finnish and international clients across different industries.
At Reder, it’s not about just filming and moving on. We build relationships with our clients. We care about the end result and our reputation. We’re flexible, friendly, and easy to work with — and we don’t deliver until we’re 100% proud of what we’ve made.
STARTING OUT? HERE’S MY ADVICE.
For those who feel inspired to start a career in videography, here’s what I’ve learned:
- Start solo — you’ll be surprised how much you can handle alone. Don’t wait for a team or big setup.
- Don’t worry about competition. Even if the market feels full, your vision is unique. That’s your edge.
- AI won’t replace human creativity. Clients still value custom, clean, human-made videos.
- Get a 4K camera, wireless mic, and gimbal can get you very far. Don’t overcomplicate it.
- Stop comparing yourself to big brands. Focus on your journey — not theirs.
Reder is more than just a company. It’s a reminder that no matter where you come from or where you start, you can always create your own path — and tell powerful stories along the way.
